Multichannel Optical Regeneration Workshop Held at Aston University
27 October, 2014
On 24th October Aston Institute of Photonic Technologies hosted an international workshop on multichannel optical regeneration.
The workshop, organised by UNLOC researchers Drs Mariia Sorokina and Stylianos Sygletos, brought together the leading experts on optical regeneration from the US and Europe to discuss the emerging opportunities and challenges in optical multi-wavelength regeneration.
The event covered both theoretical and experimental studies, including state-of-the-art and recent trends and developments in the field, and featuring devices and systems on several material platforms, ranging from well established (e.g. those based on nonlinear fibre or SOAs) to emerging (e.g. photonic crystals).
